National Portrait Gallery – Late Shift Friday 27th Jan 18.30-21
A Friday evening with art and music, and why not? A glass of wine to get into weekend mood. This Friday trumpeter Desbruslais is joined by a percussionist to perform the premiere of Thor’s Day by composer Tim Benjamin.

Free gig at Rough Trade – Howler Saturday 28th Jan Noon
If you fancy some live music at brunch time head to Rough trade in Brick Lane. Howler a new great emerging UK band is playing a free acoustic gig. We love them and we think you might like them as well.
Be aware though – go and collect your wristband from the store at least an hour earlier…or you’ve just have to hope all their fans had a wild friday night and can’t cope with the saturday morning hangover!

White Cube Exhibitions – Bermondsey st / Hoxton
Visit new Jay Joplings’ White Cube exhibiting spaces. Amazing pieces of architecture and fantastic contemporary art. They are both located in good areas with nice coffee places for a hot drink afterwards (so maybe don’t leave your wallet at home).
Currently on ‘Il mistero delle cattedrali’ by Anselm Kiefer and ‘The Indefferent Owl’ by Gary Hume. Seen both and we really recommend it.

RichMix, Shoreditch – East London Jewish Culture: Bagels, Bar Mitzvah and Babkas 29th Jan throughout the day
An exhibition celebrating the Jewish culture in East London thorugh archive films, a theatre premiere, a guided walk, live music, market stalls, family workshops, food, drinks!

Chinese New Year of the Dragon – London’s West End 29th January throughout the day

We haven’t had an update in a little while, so we thought we’d fill you in on what’s been keeping us so busy! At Shellys HQ we’re preparing the new collection for AW12. We’re up to our eyeballs in new samples and are booking flights for all of our sales trips to Milan, Vegas and NYC! We can’t wait to see the reaction to our new shoes!

We’ve also been a very sociable bunch, visiting the RRL store in Mayfair for a photo exhibition (because we’re very cultured people that is, nothing to do with the cocktails…)
